How to care for your swimwear

WASH IT RIGHT

As our pieces feature delicate details, we always suggest hand washing your swimsuit in light soapy water or machine washing on a cool 30-degree cycle. Whichever you choose, be sure not to add any chlorine-based bleach, don’t pop this in the tumble dryer and don’t get tempted to ring out the fabric after washing. Instead, let it dry naturally out in the glorious sunshine.

But before you get to any of these stages, always remember to remove your waist belt. As the buckles are delicate, these need to be hand washed as opposed to taking a tumble in your machine.

TO LOTION OR NOT?

Sun and tanning creams, chlorine, plus tanning oils can all damage and discolour our swimsuits and crochet trimmings. So, always take extra care when applying these. Keep an eye out for rough surfaces as this can cause snagging on the fabric.

MEND IT DON'T END IT!

If for any reason your crochet trim start to pull away over time , please email us at info@amieloulondon.com and we can advise how to fix this. The crochet is handmade, therefore very delicate.

RETURN MUST-KNOWS...

We always ask that you do not remove our hygiene stickers or swing tags until you’re 100% certain you’re going to keep your new Amie Lou London piece. Unfortunately we cannot exchange or refund items that have these removed due to hygiene purposes. We are unable to take any responsibility for any damages the suit may incur from wear & tear and negligence.
